Cake couture

These little beauties survived a trip to Greenman Festival 2012 before being demolished by hungry festival goers! (ie. my lovely friends)

The roses are "handmade" *cough*- a superb sugar craft mould bought from a stall in Spitafields Market. The pattern on the icing is made by a remarkable little rolling pin purchased at the same stand.

Markets such as Camden and Spitafields in London are perfect for not only feasting on unique baked goods, but also for buying cutesie little baking essentials such as these. So now I can honestly tell a little white lie when someone asks "Did you make the roses yourself?" - Why yes, yes I did ;)
